Return to the Calling

I don’t mean to be ungrateful
Though I know in my soul it’s not the right fit
You’re nothing, but faithful
But I’m so tired of the shit

I’m tired of grinding away
In something that doesn’t make my heart sing
Feeling it’s wrong to stay
But afraid to forsake the gifts you bring

Wanting to take a leap into the unknown
Not knowing how it will go
Some say it’d be unwise
But I want to jump into your flow

Feeling called to go where it feels right
Tired of living life in fright
Continuing down the road in the wrong direction
It’s about time for an intervention

Shifting my path to course correct
Returning to a loved subject
To move forward pursuing a dream I’d forgot
If I don’t, my life will be for naught.
